Jonno Garver

Jonno Garver began his guitar studies in 2011 at Collin College in Plano Texas with Dr. Olga Amelkina-Vera. In 2015 he moved to Oklahoma City to pursue guitar performance at OCU where he received his BM degree. Jonno is currently pursuing a Masters degree in Guitar Performance at UofL. He has studied privately with Matthew Denman, Dr. Lynn McGrath, Stephen Lochbaum, Kyle Patterson, and Dr. Stephen Mattingly.

Jonno has had masterclasses with The Romero Guitar Quartet, William Kanengiser, Ana Vidovic, Giampaolo Bandini, Johannes Moller, Rene Izquierdo, Matthew McAllister, Valerie Hartzell, Gohar Vardanyan, Matt Palmer, Dr. Isaac Bustos, Dr. Joseph Williams II, Dr. Chad Ibison, Edel Munoz, and Emma Rush. Jonno has taught guitar lessons at the Salvation Army, Ballard School of Performing Arts, and is currently the guitar instructor at the Boaz Performance Academy, and Miles Ahead Music. Jonno is a two time 1st prize winner of the Collin College Guitar Competition in the advanced division. 1st prize in both the duo and trio divisions of The Brownsville Guitar Ensemble Festival. A prize winner in the Mountain View Guitar Festival professional division, the University of Louisville Guitar Festival and Competition collegiate division, and the University of Memphis Guitar Competition. Semifinalist in the Classical Minds professional division, and The Lone Star Guitar Festival and Competition professional division. He has also been awarded Collin College’s Outstanding Guitar Ensemble Member, and Outstanding Guitar Student.
