Emily Carter

Originally from Ohio, Emily Carter is a graduate of Northwestern University, receiving both her Bachelors and Masters degrees there while studying tuba with Rex Martin. She currently maintains a private teaching studio in the Louisville and surrounding area schools. Her students have succeeded in region state band contests as well as all state. As well as being a passionate educator, she is an esteemed performer and has been featured as a soloist downtown at the Chicago Cultural Center, at the Midwest Clinic in Chicago, and has recently been named a Luminarts Cultural Center Fellow in Classical Music for 2017. She has performed multiple concerts with the New World Symphony in Miami Florida. In her free time, she loves hiking, being outdoors, and gardening.
